About the Artist

I’ve always had an eye for art. Fortunately, I lived in Paris in the mid 60’s and was able to haunt the multiple art galleries in my midst on a regular basis. Upon my return to the United States I worked part time in La Galerie, a French art gallery in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Years past and my love for art was sparked when I decided to do a portrait of my Mother on her 104th birthday in 2009. I dabbled in pastels, acrylics and ultimately oils when I learned about an art teacher in Evergreen, Laura Mehmert. Thus in 2018 I became a bit addicted! After classes I would dash home to my studio excited to complete that days’ project. I was encouraged to try my hand at water colors that winter when Laura taught us techniques about water color holiday cards.

My passion is still oil but I’m learning to explore and enjoy the challenges of water color as well.  In the past 4 years I have been enjoying doing both dog and human portraits as commissions and selling large and small landscapes and still life’s.
